Dear Praying Friends,

We are continually reminded of how your prayers help us here in Peru. We are so thankful for each prayer being made on our behalf. We are often aware of God’s protection in our lives. This past month Shane had a minor accident, and we are grateful and thankful for God’s protection over us.

Dear Praying Friends,

We trust you all are having a good summer filled with VBS, summer camps and tent meetings!
We are in the midst of winter here in the southern hemisphere. We just celebrated the independence of Peru and enjoyed having a mini VBS during their winter break. We had lots of visitors and saw about 10 come to know Jesus as their Saviour. On the final day we had over 60 kids. It was a lot of fun and the kids sure did enjoy themselves.

We also were able to have a paseo (picnic) with our church and another church here. We went to a park/zoo. We enjoyed seeing the animals and had a picnic lunch and then played some volleyball. During the day one lady accepted Christ as her Saviour. Praise the Lord. Her son, Jhonny (pronounced Johnny) has been coming to our church for a while and he invited his mom for the picnic. Please pray for her, She lives in a village about 3 hours away and a lot of her family is Jehovah’s Witness. Also we have been excited to see Jhonny start to lead singing during the services and he also gave a devotional recently.

Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,

June is here upon and half of 2010 has passed. Amazing how the time seems to go quicker every year. We are looking forward to “summer” or winter here in the southern hemisphere. The days are drier and the nights are colder. We have a lot planned and are looking forward to seeing God continue to work in the lives of the Peruvian people here in Cajamarca. Dear Brethren,

We have moved to a new building!!! This is a big answer to prayer. We have found a larger building for less money. It is not too far from where we were, which was very important as well. There was a need to modify some things, however, the Lord supplied the needs and we were able to get everything done just in the nick of time for our special anniversary services. We had a wonderful time with our Pastor and his wife. It was refreshing and a blessing for our church to have them here. Pastor preached our anniversary services and Mrs. Jacobs had a special ladies meeting. I had hoped to see more people saved at our special meetings, however, the results of those meetings is that we have had people saved almost every week since then. Continue reading April 2010

Dear Praying Friends,

We are excited about what God has been doing and is going to do. In our previous letter we had asked you to pray for Segundo Villanueva, while the prognosis from the doctors is not good he has improved greatly and has been able to be back in church with us. We have been very pleased to see the improvements. The doctors have declared that he has cancer in the stomach and needs to go to Lima (a 14 hour bus ride) for an operation. He has decided to leave it in the hands of the Lord. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
