Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
My how this year how flown by. It is hard to believe a year ago at this time we didn’t even realize we would be in the States and now we are getting ready to fly back. We are busy shopping for last minute things and packing up. By the time you receive this I am sure we will already be back home in Peru. We recently celebrated 10 yrs of being in Peru and we are looking forward to many more.
We have had a number of blessings this year. We were able to purchase a travel trailer which has been a tremendous blessing to our family as we have traveled to over 20 states and put on MANY miles. We will be leaving our “home on wheels” here in the States so that when we come back we will be able to use it again. The Lord has really taken care of us this past year and supplied our every need over and above.
In November we were in our annual BIO meeting. They honored Bro Garvin Dykes for 50 years of faithful ministry. It was a blessing to be a part of this and can think of no one more deserving of this honor. He is definitely a blessing to BIO and each of their missionaries. We also were able to see many missionary friends we have not seen in years. At the end of the week we were able to be in a BIO SMART meeting which focused on Personal safety on the mission field.
As many of you know we have been praying for a tent, sound system and the things we will need to begin a tent evangelization ministry in Peru. Back in September, we were blessed to have one of our supporting churches buy us a sound system. I admit we were getting rather discouraged thinking we would have to go back to Peru without a tent. Just this week, a pastor from TN, called and gave us a tent that seats 600 people! We are so excited as this was the exact tent that we had been praying and saving for!!! God is so good! We are excited to see how the Lord is going to use us and this tent in the next few years. We will be using the money we have raised so far to ship the tent to Peru. Thank you to those that have contributed to this as well. Please continue to pray for this ministry.
As we are packing up to leave it is always with mixed emotions as we our sad to be leaving family and friends but we are anxious to get back to our home and the work the Lord has called us to. We recently celebrated Charity and Christina’s birthdays. Charity turned 9 and wants to be a Chef when she grows up and our little princess turned 4. They are all growing up too fast! Please pray for our children, they are very excited to be going back home but I am sure there will be an adjustment period.
We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We pray that the Lord will continue to bless each and every one of you in this new year.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We realize daily without it we would not be able to do what we do.
