July 2012

Dear Pastors and Praying friends,

As always we appreciate your prayers for us as we travel the USA on furlough. We have traveled a lot this past month, from Michigan to Alabama, to South Carolina, and up to New York before landing back at ‘home’ in Ohio, it was a circuit of well over 3,000 miles. Praise the Lord we had good meetings, and appreciated seeing everyone we were able to see. Space would not allow me to write everyone, and everywhere we visited.

We did enjoy a week at Missions School with BIO. I cannot express how encouraging, and helpful it is to spend a week with missionaries from around the globe doing the work of missions. What a blessing to hear the different classes that were very apropos for missionaries on the field, and going to the field. Our kids thought it was funny that Dad & Mom had to go to school, and set in class from 8AM – 4PM. Also, I don’t know if I mentioned that BIO has a new address. It isn’t really new, they have had it for a while, however just recently the mail is no longer being forwarded. Please make sure you have the correct address for BIO to send in support. Their address is:  PO Box 587, Jefferson City, TN 37760. We appreciate you double checking this and making sure it is correct.  I have heard of a few instances where people were telling me the check was returned, and it is because the old address is no longer being forwarded.

Our kids have been enjoying camp and family time this summer! Rachel and Rebekah were at camp up in MI for a week, Micah, Moriah, and Charity are headed to camp this week, and the following week, we are all headed to camp, where Micah, Moriah and Charity will enjoy a second week of camp. Shane will be preaching all week long, please keep him in your prayers for that week (July 30 – Aug 3). Pray that God will use him, and give him the messages. Pray the hearts will be tender and God would speak to their hearts. Pray that the kids would respond to God speaking, and souls would be saved, and lives would be surrendered!

Our Housing Roof fund is up to 60%, our tent fund is starting off at 27%! We need to raise our support level as well as we have been operating at about 80%. Please keep all these things in prayer! I know everyone is struggling, and we indeed feel the pinch as well. We still serve the same God, and He IS ABLE even in a struggling economy. He has been faithful in taking care of our needs, and we praise Him for that! Thank you for your prayers and faithful support enabling us the privilege to work in Peru.

His Servants,

Shane & Kathy Rice

Rachel, Rebekah, Moriah, Micah, Charity & Christina
